Do you know that feeling where everything seems to be going against you? Almost as if life is consipiring against you? Then in hindsight you connect the dots and you realise this is the way it was supposed to happen?
I don’t know about you, but to me it often feels as if this hardship is the only way to learn a lesson. A lesson that will be repeated over and over again until I have learnt it. Then, once I have learnt it I see that all that hardship was worth it and necessary.
There was no other way, but the way that it happened. This is easy to see in hindsight. Captain Hindsight has an easy job connecting the dots in hindsight. But when he is in the heat of the moment he gets caught up in his own mind and fails to see the bigger picture.
What can you do to remain calm in the heat of the moment and realise that everything is happening for a reason? Have faith I guess. Be aware I guess. Breathe in and breathe out I guess.
Earlier this week I came across this uplifting conversation with God. I think I will come back and read this again when I hit a bumpy road again to remind me that everything is OK.
